My daughter always wanted to go snowboarding. We got there & told them that it was our first time snowboarding & that we didn’t know what packages they offered. The woman charged us for a very expensive one that included the ski lift. She told us that there weren’t any lessons and that we had to ride the lift. We found out that what she said wasn’t true from another worker when we were picking up our rental equipment & had to go back to the office for them to refund some of our money & change our package. We should’ve been offered the beginner package with lessons. Staff was rude and uninviting. Our instructor for lessons showed up 20 minutes late snickering with his buddy. They made it very obvious that we weren’t welcome there. It was not family friendly at all for us. We will not return.

Lab is still a good place to ski on weekdays near Syracuse, but we may b driving farther to avoid the long lines on the weekend. Recommend shoe grips for icy parking lot!

  • Night skiing available 6 nights/week. Close to Syracuse. Trails groomed well. Restaurant has decent food & new restrooms.
  • Parking lot very icy! Weekend lines too long for tickets & chair lift. Less trails lit for night skiing than previous years.

They recently bought out their only competition in the area and instead of operating that mountain, they thought they could absorb all of that mountain’s skiers into their two mountains. Now their two mountains are completely overcrowded. Perfect example of when greed overrides common sense.

  • Not many
  • Overcrowded, over price, poor grooming

You can tell they are cutting corners every where they can to save money. The southern peak double chair is never running. Which is potentially their best because you can access some decent glades and trails. They rarely groom and they do it poorly.

great place to learn and the instructors make it easy if you're new to the sport. if you want lessons, I'd suggest going during the week if possible, I got one on one instruction for only $35, gear included. plus they have a great student/military rates!

Unless this place gets a decent snowfall it's not enjoyable and even then it's overcrowded and understaffed, overpriced and just not a great experience. very outdated in many ways.

  • very poor at snow making. to crowded and way overpriced.

Ski School is tops, with many PSIA certified instructors. Friendly staff, well maintained slopes, well groomed. Terrain Park is the best in central NY. A gem, for all levels of skiers. And lift tickets still under $50. Many great deals on season passes - check their website.

  • Great snow conditions, well maintained and groomed. Terrain is varied enough for all levels of skiers
  • Beginner slopes have a few headwalls a bit steeps for absolute beginners.

lessons to learn to ski are good, but you go from skiing on a bunny slope which at best drops 25 feet to the big mountain, better catch on fast, or you will grow board of skiing fast (bunny hill to small to learn on) their trails do drop off fairly fast, so their is flatter areas in-between, their park is by far the best in the area if you know what your doing, but do not plan to learn how to go off terrain here, experts only, overall if your skiing/ ridding and behaving this is a friendly place to be, seems to be more so for the regulars

  • mix of trails, park
  • No real bunny hill
