I've been coming to eagle point for many years and it definitely is a hidden gem of sorts. Its great resort, reasonably priced, and no lift lines cause its a newish resort. Its conveniently separated into 3 sections of greens, blues, an blacks so makes it really easy to know what part of the mountain to go too. The greens are great for beginners, the blues are way to short, and the blacks barely qualify as blacks but they remained ungroomed so they're awesome on a powder day. Also tree runs are great at the black side of the mountain. Lodging is private but reasonably priced and of good quality. This isnt a resort you could spend too much time at because you run out things to do (there nothing to do but ski), but you can have fun for a week. Also the terrain park is nothing to visit for, but adequate. If you want to go to a place with no lines, want to ride chill-fuly with friends, and aren't made of money, this is probably the place in utah to do it. Maybe even southwest US.
Great well rounded ski area!!
I am 66 and a black diamond skier. Eagle Point has plenty for my workout and cant beat the cost. I get the annual pass. 2 issues I have is they are not open thru the week and often times there is nice snowfall and the apres ski lounge/ski mountain music.

I've been to almost every resort in Utah. I even worked at Brianhead and grew up skiing there weekly. Also skied most Northern Utah resorts a bunch and dealt with the wall to wall traffic. Don't get me wrong, I still support Brianhead occasionally but since I discovered Eagle point, I have no desire to go anywhere else. My beef is standing in a lift lines and at Eagle Point, they are almost non-existent. Since they are still growing, there are some challenges finding employees to keep up with it but if you are willing to be a little patient, drive a few more miles, you won't regret it. As for scenery, I've ridden lifts with people who live at Brianhead and came to check out Eagle Point, they all say the beauty is un-matched at Eagle Point. The locals call it a "hidden gem." It doesn't have the ammenities a Park City or Deer Valley do (yet) but give it time this resort has big potential.

At 40 something I decided to Learn how to snowboard. The instructor was great. I have been up several times the last two seasons and enjoyed every trip.

This place is like 1950!!!! Brian head is renovating everything and this place just wants to build condos with no improvements to the ski facilities

Let me start by saying this is not a Resort. They have no amenities. They dont even have a phone in the unit to call if you need anything. Also, their units are just really old apartments that are all privately owned. The service is terrible. The units are old, outdated and dirty. Our unit didnt have any hot water either. They promised a fix but never delivered. We were stinky by the end of our 3 days. The skiing was terrible. The runs suck and are very short. Its a tiny hill with no amenities and my kids hated it. I will never go back. I highly recommend to avoid this place. Brianhead and Park City are way too close for you to waste your money here.
